Job Title: Production Tailor (Industrial Machine Operator)

Location: Nairobi & Nakuru, Kenya 

Reporting to: Lead Designer

Role Purpose

The Production Tailor is responsible for the high-quality assembly of garments across our Bespoke and Ready-to-Wear (RTW) units. Reporting directly to the Lead Designer, you will transform high-end textiles into finished masterpieces, ensuring that every seam and finish aligns with the Voxy standard.

Key Responsibilities

• Garment Assembly: Expertly operate industrial straight-stitch, overlock, and specialized sewing machinery to assemble garments based on technical specifications.

• Design Execution: Follow patterns and construction guides provided by the Lead Designer with high precision and attention to detail.

• Finishing & Quality Assurance: Ensure all internal and external finishes (hems, linings, and zippers) meet the professional standards of quality bespoke wear.

• Machine Maintenance: Conduct basic daily maintenance of assigned industrial machines and equipment to ensure optimal performance and workplace safety.

• Workflow Coordination: Work proactively with the cutting and embellishment departments to ensure production timelines are met without compromising quality.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Technical Mastery: Mandatory proficiency in operating various industrial sewing machines.

• Experience: Proven track record in garment pattern drafting and construction (Bespoke, Bridal, or high-end RTW).

• Garment Knowledge: A deep understanding of fabric behavior, garment fitting, and professional finishing techniques.

Job Title: Fashion Artisan – Embellishment & Beading

Location: Nairobi / Nakuru, Kenya

Reporting to: Head of Design

Voxy is a growing fashion enterprise dedicated to the professional standard of luxury and bespoke design. We specialize in bridal, high-fashion, and luxury textiles. As we expand our operations, we are looking for a skilled Fashion Artisan who takes pride in their craft and understands that the beauty of a Voxy garment lies in the details. We value "smart brains," a proactive attitude, and the ability to grow with us.

Role Purpose

The Fashion Artisan will support our Bespoke and Bridal units by applying hand-beading, embroidery, and surface details to our garments. We aren't looking for perfection from day one; we are looking for a dedicated professional who is committed to high-quality work, constant improvement, and upholding the Voxy brand identity.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Application: Execute hand-beading, sequin placement, and lace appliqué onto various fabrics with care and precision.

• Design Collaboration: Work with the design team to ensure beading patterns match the client's vision and the garment's structure.

• Quality Maintenance: Perform self-checks to ensure beads are securely fastened and patterns are consistent across the garment.

• Careful Material Handling: Track and manage the use of beads, crystals, and trims to minimize unnecessary waste while maintaining a clean workspace.

• Professional Conduct: Maintain a reliable and proactive presence in the workshop, adhering to the company’s professional standards and timelines.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Experience: Proven experience in hand-beading and garment embellishment (specifically in bridal or occasional wear).

• Technical Skill: A strong hand for needlework and an understanding of how different beads interact with different fabric weights.

• Problem-Solving Brain: A "smart-brain" approach to layout—knowing how to adjust a pattern if the fabric sits differently than expected.
